DESCRIPTION:The best way to support hunger-relief in our community is by making a financial donation to Austin Cares or volunteering to acquire and ship healthy\, nutritious food. Please make sure you follow some simple rules when collecting food: \n\nCollect only healthy\, non-perishable food items.\nDo not collect any homemade items.\nItems with intact\, unopened consumer or commercial packaging\nPlease keep personal care items separate from food items (i.e. mouthwash).\nNo glass\, please!  Glass items can chip and break easily in the barrels.
